Tampa Bay Young Republicans to Host Statewide Quarterly Meeting
Tampa, FL – For the second year in a row, the Tampa Bay Young Republicans will be hosting the year’s first quarterly meeting of the Florida Federation of Young Republicans. The meetings will be held on February 9th at the Tampa Museum of Art.
Representatives from the 24 county organizations from around the state of Florida will be discussing the outcome of the 2012 elections and looking ahead to the 2014 and 2016 elections. In addition, they will be addressed by Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Will Weatherford, Congressman from Florida’s 15th District Dennis Ross, and State Representative from District 47 James Grant.
“Last year we had the opportunity to preview the Republican National Convention and upcoming elections,” said TBYR President Jonathan Torres. “This year will be our chance to reflect on Florida and Tampa Bay’s prominent role in our last election cycle and how we can prepare to support the re-election of Governor Rick Scott and Republicans across the state.”
“Young Republicans across the country are the very backbone of the political process. They are the candidates, campaign managers, volunteers, and legislative staff representing the Republican Party across the country, “said FFYR Chairman Peret Pass. “These quarterly meetings and workshops are designed to aggregate and share the best strategies, opinions on policy matters, and resources. Tampa Bay provides a central location, great venues and amenities to hold these meetings.”
